Why did lossless mode barely shrink my file?
Lossless mode only restructures and recompresses existing data. If your PDF is already optimized, gains are small — that's honest. Use strong mode for big reductions.
What does strong mode do to my PDF?
It re-renders each page as a JPEG at your chosen DPI and quality. Text becomes part of the image (not selectable), so use it for scans and image-heavy files.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. All local tools process your file inside your browser using WebAssembly. You can verify this in the Network tab of your browser's developer tools.
Do I need a subscription?
No. Local tools are free without limits. AI features use one-time credit packs whose balance never expires.
